TeleHealth
Telemedicine is a convenient and effective way to see your healthcare provider. To schedule a televisit, please call our office at (740) 792-4110 or use our secure online appointment request form.
Before beginning your Televisit, make sure that you:
- Download the TeleVisit Appointment Patient Guide
- Have an active Patient Portal account, with a username and password
- Set aside a secure, private location
- Have a computer with a webcam, speaker and a microphone.
- Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your web browser.
To begin your Televisit, follow these easy steps:
- “Arrive early” by logging in to your Patient Portal. If you can’t access the Portal, you can also begin your appointment through the reminder link sent to your email.
- Click “Join TeleVisit” in your patient dashboard (or email reminder).
- Fill out any patient questionnaire, and provide requested personal information.
- Click “Proceed” to check your computer’s speed and ability to support a TeleVisit. If your computer does not have a webcam (most do), you will need to attach one.
- Click “Start TeleVisit” to enter the virtual waiting room.
- Your physician will begin the face-to-face TeleVisit, and disconnect when the visit ends.
We also recommend using the Healow app to participate in a TeleHealth discussion with your provider. For instructions on how to download the Healow app please click here.
Using the Healow app on your mobile device
If you are scheduled for a Televisit, please see the instructions below.
Starting your visit:
- LOG INTO THE HEALOW APP AND CLICK APPOINTMENTS AT THE TOP OF THE MENU WHEEL
- CLICK ON THE APPOINTMENT THAT INDICATES TELEVESIT
- CLICK ON START TELEVISIT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN
Complete Vitals:
- ENTER YOUR VITAL SIGNS IF YOU HAVE THEM AND CLICK SUBMIT
- CLICK ON START TELEVISIT TO PROCEED
- ONCE STARTED, YOU WILL BE BROUGHT TO A WAITING SCREEN UNTIL YOUR PROVIDER CONNECTS
Your Televisit:

Remember to hold the camera in front of your face unless your provider asks you to show some other part of your body.

Remember to be in a private area where you can keep your medical information private.
Troubleshooting:

Q: My app does not find a camera or microphone:
A: You will have to allow the Healow app access to your camera and microphone in the settings of your phone.
Patients can now quickly and easily connect to their TeleVisit directly from a text message. No download or login required.
Patients can connect in 3 easy steps from their phone:
- Patient opens the email or text and clicks on the link provided.
- Patient fills out and submits the questionnaire and vitals.
- Start the TeleVisit!
If you are already using healow TeleVisits
There are no EMR upgrades needed for this new feature. To start sending text messages, go to the Patient Portal Settings:
- Click TeleVisit SMS Reminder Settings.
- Check the box to Enable SMS notification for TeleVisit reminders.
- Press the "Save" button.
